Happy New Year! As you set your new year's resolutions, you may want to consider one of the following programs that many have found helpful:
Those who struggle with same-sex attraction often feel inadequate regarding sports. Many areas offer workshops to assist men and youth in developing skills in basketball, baseball, or football. Such programs are coached on a basic level, teaching the rules of the game, developing basic playing skills, and participating in full games. As confidence grows, anxiety and fear surrounding sports usually diminishes. Talk with your local group or call the Evergreen office to determine if such programs are available in your area. If they are not, Evergreen can put you in contact with those who have experience in such programs to help you create one in your area.
The Adventure In Manhood (AIM) program is currently registering participants for the Winter outing. The program was developed to assist men and youth who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction. The activities and events are designed to promote healing for the emotional issues and wounds which create SSA. AIM fosters healthy bonding with men, through masculine activity, teamwork, and socialization. AIM challenges individuals physically, mentally, and spiritually in a safe circle of healthy men.
